American Late Model Series, Grand Marshall Julian Galloway

It's going to be a busy night tonight with 7 classes in action this evening at the South Texas Race Ranch. Late Model Racing returns to South Texas with the American Crate Late Model series headlining and local classes EMods, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, Micro Mods, Limited Modified and IMCA Modified here. Juice Box exhibition at Intermission. 

Tonight, we also make memories for Julian Galloway and family as he will serve as the Grand Marshall for tonight's festivities. Julian is battling an aggressive form of brain cancer so it's an honor having them in attendance.

All Results are Unofficial and commentary is based on my observations from the stands and I have no contact with track officials during the event. Fireworks will be flying tonight at the Ranch as we celebrate IndependenceDay Weekend.

The racing family is great. Megan Dodson, James Parks and Hector Aguirre with several gifts for Julian. Starry Ranch raffling cornhole boards with 100% of the proceeds going to the Galloway family. Beau Begnaud fast time in Late Model qualifying. Marcus Mikulencak driving a former Bobby Pierce Late Model, qualified 4th.

Top 5 of Preston, Johnson, Whiteaker, Porter and Witsche pulling away but Johnson spins in 4 but minimal contact luckily. Gets to rejoin the field but in the rear on the restart.

Track put some water down in 3-4 during intermission but seems like moisture wasn't worked all the way in now Fanning spins on the restart.

Preston pulling away as Whiteaker and Porter battling hard for second, hard contact between those two in turn 2 but both keep going. Caution as we have Voelschow spins in 2. Preston, Witsche, Whiteaker,  Porter and Sheffield top 5 on restart. Preston checking out but caution out again as Sheffield turns Porter in 4. Preston, Witzsche, Porter, Whiteaker and Ross top 5

Porter takes second as Witsche bobbles and now loses 3rd to Whiteaker but yellow again as Hillin and Sheffield come together in 1. Now Preston, Porter, Whiteaker, Witsche and Ross. New leader as Porter takes point.
