IMCA All Star Shootout set for Grayson County, Boyd and Kennedale in May 25-29

IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, Southern SportMods on May 25-29 All Star Shootout cards

ARDMORE, Okla. (April 13) – All-stars in three IMCA divisions see action each night of the May 25-29 All Star Shootout.

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods both for $750 to win beginning with opening night Wednesday, May 25 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore.

The Shootout is then Texas-bound for shows Thursday, May 26 at Grayson County Speedway in Bells; Friday, May 27 at Boyd Raceway; Saturday, May 28 at Kennedale Speedway Park; and Sunday, May 29 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco.

All five race programs will be broadcast by IMCA.TV. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, GRT Race Cars South Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern regional, KMJ Performance State and series points will be awarded each night; Boyd also gives track points.

Modified and Stock Car feature winners become eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational or B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational, respectively; Modified and Stock Car Shootout champions also become eligible to qualify for their race of champions events at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

Early entry fees for the week are $35 for drivers registering by 5 p.m. CST Monday, May 23 using the link on the All Star Shootout Facebook page or $25 a night after that date; all entry fees collected will go toward Shootout point funds.

Pit passes are $35 and adult grandstand admission is $20 each night of the Shootout. 

An open practice runs from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 at Ardmore. Pit passes are $15 and grandstand admission is free. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. the next night; grandstand admission is $15 for seniors, military and kids ages 6-12, and free for ages five and under. 

Grayson County opens the pits at 4 p.m. and the grandstand at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. Seniors, military and students ages 17 and under pay $15 for spectator admission while kids 42” and under get in free. 

Boyd opens pit gates and the grandstand at 6 p.m. Hot laps precede racing at 8 p.m. Grandstand admission is $15 for seniors and military, $6 for kids 6-12 and free for five and under. 

Kennedale opens the pit gates late Friday night for out-of-town travelers and starts selling pit passes at 2 p.m. Saturday. The grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m., hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m.

And at Heart O’ Texas, pits open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m.

Seniors, military and kids 6-12 are $15 on the spectator side of the track and five and under are free at both KSP and HO’T. 

Drivers in all three divisions with perfect Shootout attendance will be entered in a drawing for a new tire machine from Tire Demon by Love Tap while the top driver in points for each division receive drive shafts from Fast Shafts.

Smiley’s Racing Products gives gift cards totaling $200 to hard chargers in main events each night. 

Friesen Chevrolet is giving $300 gift certificates and B & B Racing Chassis, Jones Racing Products and Summit all give gift certificates throughout the Shootout. Speed Secrets provides the parts trailer during the week.
