Dumpert Claims NCRA Crate Late Model Victory at Thunder Hill!

Mayetta, Kansas – July 28, 2018 - Cory Dumpert of York, Nebraska took the lead at the start and held off a hard-charging Chris Kratzer to claim the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products crate late model feature Saturday night at Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kansas.

Dumpert and Dusty Leonard started on the front row for the feature with Dumpert taking the lead as the green flag fell. Fifth-starting Chris Kratzer of Wichita chased the leader the latter portion of the race but Dumpert would go on to claim his third series victory of the season, his second at Thunder Hill.

Kratzer settled for second while eleventh-starting Delbert Smith came home third. Leonard would settle for fourth while Brandon Givens rounded out the top five.

Next up for the NCRA crate late model division will be this coming Friday and Saturday night, August 3-4, as the Mid-Summer Classic returns atop the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas for the 62nd annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Hutchinson Grand Nationals presented by Allen Samuels Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram of Hutchinson.
