Belleville, Kansas – July 3, 2018 - Dustin Forsberg of Bel Aire, Kansas retook the lead with two laps to go and held on to claim a thrilling victory and celebrate Independence Day one day early as the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products mod lite division tackled the little quarter-mile oval inside the Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kansas on Tuesday night. Jason Roe and Alex Loveless started on the front row for the fifteen-lap feature with Loveless taking the lead as the green flag fell. Roe would take the lead one lap later and led the next two laps before the first of two consecutive caution flags fell on lap three when current series points leader and fourth-starting Justin Kinderknecht with another car and infield tire to slow the action. Kinderknecht would be unable to finish yet would still hold on to the series points lead. On the attempted restart, Trace Ayers and Tyler Bradshaw came together to bring out a quick caution flag. The restart saw Roe jump back out front and would lead until lap six when he went for a spin in turn four. Loveless would inherit the lead on the restart and would lead the next four laps before eighth-starting Forsberg over took him for the lead on lap twelve. Loveless would return the favor one lap later to retake the lead, only to see Forsberg to get by him again to lead lap fourteen. Forsberg would go on to claim his first series feature victory of the season with Loveless right behind for a runner-up finish. Zane Williams, Cody Kretchmar and Trace Ayers rounded out the top five. Next up for the NCRA Mod Lite division will be at 81 Speedway in Park City on Saturday night, July 14, as they will be joined on the racing card with the series 360-ci vs ASCS Red River Region and the inaugural appearance by the USAC Wingless Sprints of Oklahoma.
