Wichita Speedway, formerly known as Red River Speedway, is now under *new ownership and new management*

Please welcome, Kathryne (Minter) Koch as Wichita Speedway's new manager and promoter.

Koch's background in racing started at the young age of 13, racing mini stocks at the now closed, Cowtown Speedway. At the age of 16 she began driving 360 sprint cars and was quickly traveling with the ASCS National Tour. Koch says she has seen many well, and not so well, ran race tracks and has many ideas for Wichita Speedway.
"We have, what I believe is one of the nicest facilities around, but we are missing a few key pieces of our puzzle and I hope to change that and revitalize the track." Plans to bring back a few of Koch's favorite racing memories, as well as some new traditions are in the works. Koch says she misses seeing things like Candy Call and Driver Intros and believes bringing all members, not only the drivers, together at the track will help encourage the success of the track.
"While we want to remain focused on running a timely show, we understand that keeping fans connected with their favorite drivers is part of what brings them back," says Koch "we look forward to embracing the racing community as a whole in the Wichita Falls area."

Kathryne and the team at Wichita Speedway are excited for the upcoming Falls Town Showdown on Saturday, October 29th and are expecting a great field of cars and some action packed racing. This is one event you won't want to miss out on!

Stay tuned for more details on Wichita Speedway's plans for the 2017 season!
