$2000 to Win for Racesaver Sprints at Wichita Speedway!

Wichita Falls, Texas – October 6, 2016 - Now under new ownership, Wichita Speedway, formally known as Red River Speedway, in Wichita Falls, Texas will reopen in time for one final event for 2016 as the track will host the “Falls Town Showdown” on Saturday night, October 29. Highlighting the night will be a huge $2000 to win/$200 to start event for IMCA Racesaver 305-ci sprint cars. An extra $1000 will be awarded to the high point driver out of qualifying heat races who chooses to start at the tail of the night’s feature finale and wins the event.

Also running will be $700 to win for factory stocks and the NOW 600 non-wing and restricted “A” class micros.

The purse structure for the Racesaver 305’s is as follows: 1) $2000, 2) $1000, 3) $800, 4) $650, 5) $550, 6) $450, 7) $400, 8) $350, 9) $300, 10) $250, 11-20) $200: $100 for all non-qualifiers.

*ATTENTION Champ Sprint Drivers - if you would like to compete in the Falls Town Showdown, please be sure you meet the following requirements:

1. run a 5x5 wing

2. run a Racesaver right rear tire

3. if you do not use a fire suppression system, you must weigh 1575

4. run a restrictor plate

*if you do not meet all of these requirements you will not be allowed to race*

Officials with the Sprint Series of Oklahoma will be overseeing the sprint car portion of this event.

Pit gates for the “Falls Town Showdown” will open at 4:00 PM; Grandstands at 5:00 PM; Hot laps at 6:00 PM with racing slated for a 7:00 PM start time. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults. Seniors and military $10; Ages 6-12 $8; Kids 5 and under admitted free. All pit passes are $35.
