RockStan Posted August 14, 2016 Report Share Posted August 14, 2016 Steve passed away yesterday 08/12/2016 after a lengthy battle with copd. He passed in his home surrounded by his 6 kids and brothers and sister and his wife of 47 years. He was best known for his many many years of track welder at Longhorn Speedway and later a tech man as well not to mention the orange dodge that he drove every weekend to the track. He did repairs to the wall he did repairs to most of y'alls cars and probably didn't even charge for it or charged 20 bucks. I think that was his favorite price lol. He fought a long fight and never gave up all the way to the end. He still had work to do. The last words he spoke legibly to me was "never give up" and that was his motto for anything and everything he did. I will try to update as to when services will be but we are trying for next weekend of 8/20-21 or the following weekend.
