Modified Qualifying Procedures

 

q All Drivers must draw for Heat Race starting position prior to 3:00pm on Friday.

q 10 – 12 Lap Heat Races

Passing points will be used to determine the feature event transfers. The following passing points system will be used:

Heat Race Finishing Position Points

1st Place 59

2nd Place 55

3rd Place 51

4th Place 47

5th Place 43

6th Place 39

7th Place 35

8th Place 31

9th Place 27

10th Place 23

11th Place 19

12th Place 15

1.5 points will be awarded for each car passed.

 

q Passing points Feature transfers will be as follows:

Drivers 1-12 according to passing points transfer to the A-Feature

Drivers 13-24 according to passing points transfer to the B-Feature

Drivers 25-36 according to passing points transfer to the C-Feature

Drivers 37-48 according to passing points transfer to the D-Feature

Drivers 49-60 according to passing points transfer to the E-Feature

Drivers 61-72 according to passing points transfer to the F-Feature

Drivers 73-84 according to passing points transfer to the G-Feature

Drivers 85-96 according to passing points transfer to the H-Feature

Drivers 97-120 according to passing points transfer to the I-Feature

q Top 6 drivers in passing points will compete in Dash #1 to determine first 6 starting positions of A-Feature.

q Drivers 7-12 in passing points will compete in Dash #2 to determine starting positions 7-12 of A-Feature.

q Top 12 finishers from each Feature event will transfer to the rear of the next Feature.

q Top 24 drivers not transferring to the B or A-Feature are eligible for the Consolation Race. Consolation Race field will be limited to 24 cars.

q Hot Laps – 8 laps, Heat Races – 12 laps, Dashes – 8 laps, I,H,G,F,E,D,C,B-Features – 15 laps

Consolation Race – 15 laps, A-Feature – 30 laps
