Public Relations Southern SportMod joins I.M.C.A. Ice Breaker Series ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 9) – A fourth I.M.C.A. division has been added to the upcoming Ice Breaker Series. The Southern SportMod joins I.M.C.A. Sunoco Modifieds and Stock Cars, and the I.M.C.A. Hobby Stocks on the early season tour. Ten dates are scheduled for the Modifieds and I-Stocks, nine for the SportMods and eight for the Hobbies. Feature events for all four classes will be held each night of the Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-27 Ice Breaker special at Abilene Speedway; on Friday and Sunday, March 11 and 13 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco; Saturday, March 12 at Bonner’s Bellmead Speedway; and on Saturday and Sunday, March 19-20 at 281 Speedway in Stephenville. Modifieds and Stock Cars are on track Saturday, March 26 at Texas Thunder Speedway. They’ll be complemented by the SportMods for the Sunday, March 27 show at the Killeen speedplant. All applicable I.M.C.A. points will be awarded at each event. Questions about Ice Breaker series races should be directed to promoters of the respective tracks.
