Outlaw Race Will Be Feast For Fans

 

Opportunities for autographs and photos will be plentiful June 5-6

 

 

 

MILLINGTON, Tenn. (May 20) - Fans of the Discovery Channel show "Street Outlaws" will get their chance to meet some of the show's top drivers at the Catch The Outlaws event at Memphis International Raceway on June 5-6.

 

 

Racers from the show who are scheduled to race are Doc, Dominator, Monza and Derek. The drivers will race in a Chicago Style shootout that will see them race three times each night.

 

 

 

 

Despite the active race schedule, there has been plenty of time built into the events for fans to meet and greet their favorite drivers and purchase merchandise.

 

"We're going to have autograph areas for the guys to set up and sign autographs in," said Pam Kendrick, VP and GM of MIR. "All the guys said they can't wait to spend some time with their fans."

 

 

 

The Outlaws shootout and the autographs aren't the only thing going on during the two day-event. Each night the street legal car with the fastest ET will collect a $100 bounty.

 

 

 

"We've got great street cars in our area," Kendrick said. "It will be interesting to see if any of them will be able to go quicker than these guys who are the top racers in Oklahoma City. Being able to being these racers to a safe, controlled environment where they can put it all on the line is pretty cool."

 

 

 

Admission for the event is $20 for racers, crew and spectators with children 12 and under admitted free. Gates will open each night at 6 p.m. with racing from 8 p.m. to midnight.
