New IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series Points Leaders Emerge After

Southern Nationals Presented By Crower In Bradenton




NORWALK, OHIO (April 21, 2015) - The IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series points battles were shuffled after drivers encountered luck, both good and bad, at last weekend's IHRA Nitro Jam Southern Nationals in Bradenton, Florida.



Randal Andras of Amelia, Louisiana, moved into first place in the Nitro Harley division after his win on Saturday.



Kevin Bealko lost the U.S. Bounty Hunters Pro Stock points lead after his car was unable to qualify for the Southern Nationals. John Montecalvo is the new leader after defeating Trevor Eman of Aruba in the final.



Isaias Rojas won the first Crower Pro Mod event of 2015, so he of course is the current leader as the series heads to West Palm Beach's Palm Beach International Raceway this weekend. The annual IHRA Nitro Jam Palm Beach Nationals Presented By Sunoco Race Fuels will begin on Friday.



Mike McIntire Jr. skipped the Baton Rouge event due to his father's surgery but his win - and two new IHRA national records - Saturday night propelled him right back into the hunt. McIntire is now in second place behind Baton Rouge winner Tim Boychuk of Canada.

IHRA Nitro Jam Palm Beach Nationals Presented By Sunoco Race Fuels



Nitro Jam is "heads-up" drag racing entertainment - first racer to the finish line wins - in all five pro categories. The exciting show includes qualifying and eliminations for: Crower Pro Mod, AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive, U.S. Bounty Hunters Pro Stock, Nitro Harley and Jet Dragster classes.



The IHRA pit experience allows fans to tour the pit area, meet the drivers and take part in a number of fun family activities. A special attraction this year is the renowned Hollywood Cars of the Stars collection from the Miami Auto Museum at the Dezer Collection. The exhibit will include famous television and motion picture cars including the TV Batmobile from 1966, the General Lee Dodge Charger from the Dukes of Hazzard TV series and the DeLorean time machine from the 1985 cinema hit, Back to the Future.
