Event Preview For IHRA Summit Racing Pro-Am Tour Presented By AMSOIL Division 1,

 

April 17-19 At Richmond Dragway

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NORWALK, OHIO (April 13, 2015) - The IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL Division 1 will open its 2015 season this weekend - April 17-19 -- at 1/8-mile Richmond Dragway in Sandston, Virginia. The race weekend will feature two complete events.

 

 

 

 

"Track owner Johnny Davis and the Richmond Dragway family have become accustomed to opening their doors to the IHRA class racers and are excited about this weekend's race," said IHRA Division Director Jon O'Neal. "This event has become a favorite for racers from Canada to Florida and 2015 should be no different."

 

 

 

In an effort to support the Junior Dragster racers in the division, Davis has included Junior Dragster bonus racing both days and has added IHRA Ironman trophies to the class payouts.

 

 

 

Saturday night will be packed with bonus racing, including a $1,500-to-win bracket race and $1,000-to-win Stock-and- Super-Stock Combo. Racer gates will open Friday at noon with tech inspection from 1-9 p.m. Test 'n' Tune ($30 entry fee) will take place from 5-9 p.m. On Saturday, racer gates will open at 8 a.m., as will tech inspection. Time trials will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. On Sunday, racer gates and tech inspection will open at 8 a.m., with time trials at 9:30 a.m.
