Format for Qualifying into the South Texas Nationals

Recommended Posts

Thursday 6 - 9 pm will be practice. ACE Transmission After Race Pit Party with Cactus Country in concert. Fun to be had by all! Bring your lawn chairs and drinks.

Friday All drivers will draw 2 chips. Chip 1 will be drawn from bucket 1 and chip 2 will be drawn from bucket 2.

All drivers in all classes friday night will race 2 heat races. The chips 1 and 2 will set your starting position for both of your heat races.

All friday night heat races will award points based on you finishing position and passing points given per each car passed. Passing points are 3 points per car passed and are figured from where you started to where you finished.

Dropping to the back or being sent to the back doesnt award additional points.

All points accumulated from friday night will determine you starting position for your B Main. Each class will have muliple B Mains. The top 20 drivers will come from the B Mains. Any driver that cant make friday heat races will start at the back of their B Main.

Example: If we run 5 Limited B Mains we will take the top 4 cars from each. If we run 4 Limited B Mains we will take the top 5 cars from each. Ok so that is how we qualify the top 20 positions.

This will leave 5 final positions 21-25. Positions 21-24 will come from one or multiple Last Chance Races depending on car count.

The 25th and final qualifier will be auctioned off to the highest bider.
All 3 classes will run this format.

Heat races will be 8 - 12 laps car count dependant.
B Mains will be 12 - 15 laps car count dependant.
