Marble Falls, TX.,(Aug. 8th, 2014) For the Twenty-third year the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce plays host to Lakefest at Lake Marble Falls on the Colorado River. Lakeside Park is transformed into a spectator area for the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series, with food, beverage and other vendors on hand. The Johnson Park/Backbone Creek area becomes filled with numerous classes of drag boats ranging from the high-horsepower, crowd pleasing, Top Fuel Hydros to beginner classes of personal water craft.

With a dozen classes appearing there is always something for everyone. The bad boys of the group, Top Fuel Hydros have been led at this event by Daryl Ehrlich(Round Rock) in his boat, Problem Child, that currently holds both ends of the national record with a pass of 3.396 @ 258.26mph on the 1000' course set at Lakefest 2011.
