niceguypb
I am looking to see what type of interest there would be in creating a flat track between New Braunfels and San Marcos on I-35. Questions? Concerns? Please let me have it all... Thanks, Paul
Racer26
Just buy Saratoga Speedway in CC and open it back up.

kennystone5k
i think you would do better if it was built in the Jerrel area. it would attract waco, killeen cars.
niceguypb
Thanks, Keep the responses coming, in response to several I already own a business and property in this area...So if I went forward with it, it would make sense to do it there. UMSCHEIDRaceServices
Honestly you money making will probably be in a drag strip. Just my opinion J.C
KahneFan
Would it run the same night(s) as THR or would it run Friday night/Saturday morning? If it ran at the same time, it would be tough competing with each other.

niceguypb
Car's would be the thought here...Thank's for letting me clarify, is it possible to do both? Is it practical if even possible? Paul
Guest RandyBorlace
any track that runs racecars needs banking, i wouldnt go over a 3/8 mile either, a high banked track like i-37 would be cool in that area. maybe try to get an IMCA sanction and run on sundays or even thursdays if you get it together, i know what some of you people are thinking, thursdays??? well they do it in iowa. and it would guarantee the points chasers. as for the motorcycles, run them on a different night, they are boring! niceguypb
Thanks, I already have a moto x track (sorry), I am intrigued with a small dirt race track for cars, banking I believe is something we can handle...I am new to this, is there a demand for a track in this area or would it hurt other's (which I have no intent to do)... If it ran at the same time, it would be tough competing with each other. Thunderhill Raceway is the closest (asphalt 3/8) track it would hurt. dancer52
we'd be interested in a 1/4 dirt track in that area...not flat...definitely need some banking...something shaped like Bellmead would be good
rebelracewriter
You mean it won't be open to the public??? LOL Larry, Larry, Larry.......It was quite a lengthy hush, hush conversation. Actually it was just too darn much stuff to type. Perhaps a nice secretary could be arranged for me?
97car
Bring it on if this is where I think it is you should have it made, bank it some and make it plenty wide, consider all the different events that can be run, even carts for the kids seem to be going big also. supertx
3\8 mile banked dirt track. open modfieds, SUPR dirt late models,ASCS sprint cars let all the other tracks run the entry cars.
tbucket
Just a thought...how about a road race track to run both cars and bikes on? Although a 3/8 mile dirt track that runs sims modified would be awsome.
Lege9mod
If your looking to put a feeler out you will get more response from the forum on WWW. whowon.com Thats where the majority of the drivers\owners that you are trying to attracy hang out. just be ready for a boat load of responses, good and Bad. I have a request for a paved track in the DFW area LOL. I also agree with J..C. on the 1\8 mile drag strip , the one by the dirt track up here stays busy as well as the on at HMP i am told. Good luck
niceguypb
1/4 mile with banks would probably be a better description of what we are interested in, 1/8 dragstrip very little interest even though from what some of you are saying may be better from a business standpoint...I had a great conversation with J "Thank you for your needed insight! It is appreciated" All comments are appreciated, please keep them coming... Paul Edited December 30, 2004 by NickHolt
Neal Rogers
"IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME".......I mean a dirt track of course. I agree with some the other comments if a dirt track was built it would need some banking. As for the drag strip....theres a great facility in marion. It would be hard to compete with a facility that nice. Theres no need for another dragstrip. This area needs a good dirt track facility. "Asphalt is just used to get to the DIRT......"
