PAPosse Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 That's an everyday occurence on the 405!! Quote
dano36 Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 That's a pic of 281 on any given day. It will be shut down completely during the bridge work for Wurzbach Parkway which I am glad to see. When Wurzbach Parkway is completed that will take much of the traffic to the Medical Center from the east off Loop 410. Quote
direct-flo Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 going to be fun during the shutdown. Quote
PAPosse Posted June 28, 2014 Report Posted June 28, 2014 Welln just hope they donkt torch the bridge and have to start all over again like they did out here! Glad to see they are making some progress on that road.. Quote
hardheadted Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Looks like everyday traffic here in Austin.. Quote
rebelracewriter Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Hope they get that crap done before Lakefest in August.... Quote
dano36 Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Should be done by August. 281 was reopened early according to the newspaper and all the bridge abutments had been put in place. Most work now should be limited to the bridge itself (Wurzbach Parkway) and probably only limited to occasional 281 lane closures and most during the late night hours. Things should actually be better for Lakefest in August . And yes, 281 is a snarl during peak hours. It once took me an hour to get from Loop 1604 to Spring Branch (about 20 miles) and that's not downtown traffic. Its suburbia. Quote
rebelracewriter Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Things should actually be better for Lakefest in August . thanx dano Quote
geetar Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Here in Austin you can sit at a red light on the service road and still be going faster than the highway. Quote
