rebelracewriter Posted April 29, 2003 Report Share Posted April 29, 2003 Estes, Clonch are Sunday Series winners at Boyd BOYD, Texas (April 27) – Chad Estes was a first-time series winner, while Tim Clonch captured his fourth feature victory of the weekend on Sunday at Boyd Raceway. Estes topped the I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Car half of the Day Motor Sports Texas Super Sunday Series program, out-running Kevin Sustaire, Randy Miller and Scotty Brown in the race to the finish line. The Troy pilot became the fourth different winner in as many Stock series events in 2003. Clonch, from Quinlan, won the opener for the I-Stocks back in February and nabbed the Modified checkers Sunday for his ninth career series victory. He’d also won Friday’s Modified main at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville and Modified and Stock features on Saturday at North Texas Motor Speedway in Royse City. Varian Sisson was second and P.J. Egbert third. Henry Witt Jr. was also coming off feature wins Friday and Saturday and while he wasn’t able to add a third victory, he still stretched his lead in the points race with a fourth-place run. Superbowl hosts the next series date on May 4. National points leader Jerry West won Sunday’s I.M.C.A. Hobby Stock featureat Boyd. Randell Jones was second and Chris Meyers third.
