Notice regarding April 6th TPS Race Results at CTS and Points adjustment.

1. Per 2013 Texas Pro Sedan Rules, page 7, paragraph 19 – "+ 3 points > To Driver of the fastest car breaking an existing Texas Pro Sedan track record in Official TPS Time Trials".

Per the April 6th TPS Pre-Race Bulletin announcement - "POINTS awarded per TPS Rules - 3 points to fastest new record (16.374) - fastest non-record wins 1 point". (Note: The points award determination by the TPS Race Director was announced and posted on March 18, 2013. No pre-race disagreement was received from TPS any member. The determination rationale was that while there had been an irrelevant name change of the track from THR to CTS, previous TPS official rulings regarding this judgment had dealt with performance changing aspects such as change of pavement surface or change of TPS car specifications, neither of which applied in this judgment).

2. The scoring of car #26 at 4th place with 29 laps was correct. Transponder input from Car #26 indicated 29 laps recorded during the race. (Note: Car #26 was seen pulling off the track during the race under a green flag condition may explain the completion of 29 laps and not 30 laps).

3. John Miesen, driver of Car #55 has been awarded 3 points after-the-fact. 2 points for 2 week prior entry and 1 point for on-time gate entry bonus on April 6. See amended Race Results and Points. (Note: The TPS car count was made during on track practice and Qualifying in which #55 did not participate and was therefore overlooked. This car count procedure will be changed at all future TPS races).

there are several mistakes concerning the points, the 25 (JJ) should have 19 pts, 7 earned for the 5th place, 2 on the roll over and 1pt gate bonus. Recheck the 29's, should have at least 10 pts just for finishing 3rd, plus roll over, not sure on gate bonus, didn't he get anything for showing up at first race? 21 of Jeff Meeks is missing gate bonus point. May I respectfully request an audit of points for these two races?

TPS 22: Your request for an audit of the March 23rd and April 6th points has been completed. Your complaint was correct regarding #25. Your other point complaints were incorrectly calculated. Each item is re-calculated and explained below for your information.

Regarding points earned by and posted for #29, Johnny Guerra … His point balance from Race #1 was correctly posted at 1 for on-time gate arrival only (#29 received no early entry points and did not start the race). On April 6, he did receive 2 bonus points for 2 week advance early entry by roll over. #29 did arrive by 11:00am on April 6 and therefore did receive 1 gate bonus point. #29 was correctly credited with 10 points for 3rd place. Therefore, his point total of 14 does adds up correctly and is unchanged.

Regarding points earned by and posted for #21, Jeff Meeks … His point balance from Race #1 was correctly posted at 7. For April 6, he did receive 2 bonus points for 2 week advance entry. #21 did arrive by 11:00am on April 6 and therefore did receive 1 gate bonus point. #21 was correctly credited with 3 points for 9th place. Therefore, his point total of 13 is correct as posted and is unchanged.

Regarding points earned by and posted for #25, JJ Osburn … His point balance from Race #1 was correctly posted at 9. On April 6 he did receive 2 bonus points for 2 week advance entry by roll over. A recheck with TPS Pit Official Jack Foy revealed that #25 did, in fact, arrive by 11:00am on April 6 and therefore has (today) received 1 gate bonus point. #25 was correctly credited with 7 points for 5th place.

Therefore, his corrected point total is 19 and has been posted.

Note: David Mackey has asked that the following explanation to #25 be posted. “I take responsibility for miscommunication with Neil. Jack Foy told me that #10 & #77 were the only cars he showed on his list as missing the deadline”. Mackey further states, “As the TPS Race Director and also CTS Pit Steward I had a very busy day and did not communicate effectively with TPS Pit Official Jack Foy or Neil. David was trying to do a lot of tasks that come with an opening night with all new people at CTS. I got pulled in a lot of directions”. David apologies to #25.

The above Race Results and Points review was declared official for publication and website posting by TPS Race Director David Mackey.
