(March 23, 2013) – With the first Nitro Jam of the year this weekend at Southwestern International Raceway, fans, racers and media were all out in full force Friday as the International Hot Rod Association prepares for the third annual Arizona Nitro Jam presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports and CarSafe. The local Tucson CBS affiliate Tucson News Now was out Friday morning to talk with Nitro Jam teams in advance of this weekend’s big race and additional media attended Friday night’s test session as nitro teams tuned their cars for two rounds of competition Saturday night. Bruce Litton was one of the cars in action Friday evening, giving his bright orange “Nitro Jam” themed Top Fuel Dragster some track time before he takes on Curt Eierdam and the “Invader” jet dragster later this weekend. Also rolling onto the property Friday night were the AMSOIL Prostalgia Nitro Funny Car quartet of Jason Rupert, Stephen Densham, Mike Halstead and John Hale.
