JM Hallas:

I first read your note (shown below) after office hours on Thursday.

On Frday, I called the I-37 Office and read it to Frank Torres.

Since the information in your note seemed 50/50 tentative and was based on your unidentified source and since Frank was of the belief that David Murray Jr would travel to I-37 Speedway to compete on September 3 and since you were out of town (to Boone), it was decided that an informed public response to your note should not be published at that late date.

Frank Torres told me his calls to David Murray's cell phone resulted in a "not answering message". Frank's presumption was that Murray was on the highway to I-37 Speedway and probably out of cell phone range.

Your note:

Neil: I have it from a "very good source" that Murray may be at I-37, but

not this weekend, after the Super Nationals sometime. I 've known about him

wanting to race Henry for a few days now and know the main

instigator.....er, organizer. LOL I also talked to Murray myself last night

and his plans were as of then, were undecided. I'm headed off to Boone on

Friday to go to the Super Nationals and one of us will see Murray race on

Friday night. Guess we'll see who that is on Friday."

JM: The I-37 News Release "Murray NO SHOWS" (shown in above post) was prepared in coordination with and cleared by Frank Torres on Saturday morning. It was the only authoritative information available to the I-37 Press Department, so I posted it in two forums on TSZ.

I read your post on Monday morning. This response to your question was cleared by the I-37 Speedway General Manager, Frank Torres.
