Scott Lewis holds off Dean Moore to win Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Northern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print race at Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, WY on June 29th, 2012.

 

On the first lap of the race 3rd starting Scott Lewis of Henderson, CO was able to drive his #99 Mastersbilt under pole sitter Dean Moore of Grand Junction, CO to take the lead. Lewis had Moore and his #14m Victory Circle all over his rear bumper for the rest of the race, but he never made a mistake and was able to hold on for his 4th career win with the series. 2nd starting Jason Davis of Grand Junction, CO was able to hold on to third place for the entire race in his #29a Rocket. Shane Simper of Vernal, UT and Nate Beacham of Grand Junction, CO rounded out the top ten and both picked up there career best finished with the CLMA DIRTcar Series.
