NeilTPS Posted August 22, 2004 Report Share Posted August 22, 2004 Double Point Races at I-37 Speedway – Friday Aug 27 Pleasanton, Texas - This Friday night, I-37 Speedway will feature a special racing event on August 27. I-37 Speedway General Manager has announced “at the August 27th races, we will award Double Points to all classes, except for IMCA Modifieds”. Also on Friday, I-37 Speedway will again host 30 United States servicemen who were wounded in Iraq. The military personnel are patients at Brooke Army Medical Center and will be brought to I-37 Speedway by Fort Sam Houston Army bus. On Friday, August 27, Gates open at 4:00pm. The racing program starts at 8:30pm as I-37 Speedway will present: IMCA Modifieds…Limited Late Model…Super Stocks…Pure Stocks… Heat and Feature Races will be held for each classification. I-37 Speedway is a quarter mile oval dirt track located on the east side I-37 exactly 30 miles south of the Interstate 37 and Loop 410 interchange. Racing fans from San Antonio, Corpus Christi and other South Texas areas should take exit # 104 (Leal Road) proceed south on the east frontage road and follow the signs to I-37 Speedway.
