rebelracewriter
CONTACT: Sarona Winfrey Brian Briscoe -- For Immediate Release -- SECOND NASCAR WEEKEND SPARKS STRONG 2005 SEASON TICKET SALES FORT WORTH-DALLAS (August 4, 2004) - Two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup weekends in 2005 sparked record first day sales of Texas Motor Speedway Season Tickets. "The phones were ringing when we got here this morning and they haven't stopped," said speedway ticket director Jason Bowling. "It's definitely been the busiest first day of season ticket sales ever. Fans say they're excited about having the second Cup weekend next year and they want to lock in the best seats we have." Fans have also been buying the package through the speedway's website, www.texasmotorspeedway.com <http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com>. Renewal forms are being mailed to existing account holders although many have already begun renewing their seats online as well. The 2005 package includes 12 tickets: two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races; two NASCAR Busch Series races; two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races; one IRL IndyCar Series event; the Crown Royal IROC Series race; three qualifying days; and Fandango, the exclusive "Season Ticket Holders-Only" party held during the April Nextel Cup week. "We haven't raised the event prices for season ticket holders for five straight years," said speedway president Eddie Gossage. "And we continue to offer a number of "Speed Perks," including saving as much as 25% off the same tickets if purchased individually so it's a much better deal. Folks obviously realize they're getting more for their money next year and are eager to lock in their seats." Season Ticket packages range from $279-$575. Tickets can be purchased online at www.texasmotorspeeedway.com <http://www.texasmotorspeeedway.com>, in person at the speedway or by calling (817) 215-8500 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. # # #
