I-37 Raceway is adding a new class to the line-up for 2012. It is meant to be a fun and challenging class for beginners as well as seasoned drivers that want to race in another class that isn't going to cost much to get into. We are going to call it the ENDURO CLASS.

The rules are:

1. Any Original Equipment by Manufacture (OEM) from a production car or truck.

2. Roll cage---4 point.

3. Door bars---3 per side.

4. Seatbelt---3 point minimum

5. OEM DOT tires

6. Only cars taking the checkered flag will receive points.

7. Race will consist of 20 non-stop laps with obstacles on the track provided by the officials which could include tires, gremlins, and any black flagged drivers from other classes!! No heat races.

8. Any driver is eligible.

$1500 CLAIM ON ALL CARS TAKING CHECKERED FLAG. CLAIM CAN BE MADE BY ANYONE AT THE TRACK WITH CASH IN HAND AT CHECKERED FLAG.

If there are any questions, please call Jim at 210-478-0111.

Pass the word and let the fun begin!

A couple of questions:

Can a driver deny a claim and if so what is the fee?

Any tires/wheels as long as they are dot?

What if there are multiple people wanting to claim the same car?

Does the track get any of the claim or does it all go to the car owner?

Riders allowed?

Joe

Enduros were big in the Northeast for awhile a long time ago. They were a lot of fun, turned into a combination demo derby and race....usually run on an "off" night or after the races - they would take 100 cars or more and run them non stop either for time (1-2 hours) or laps. The number of cars and purposely sloppy race surface kept speeds down. There was actually an enduro "series" consisting of a handful of races at a few tracks. Sounds like a variation of the concept.

Flemington Speedway:
