Bobby Posted October 8, 2011 Report Share Posted October 8, 2011 I came into San Antonio from Houston last night to visit family, and in-route my Chevy truck developed trouble with the lock-up converter. The last thing I want to do is drive two hundred miles back to Houston with a non-locking converter. Can anyone recommend a good trans shop in San Antonio proper? If it were on the North or Northwest side that would be even better. Yes, I know it is likely just the TCC solenoid, and it is not that difficult to change, but I'm not feeling that adventurous, and it may be more than just the solenoid..... My shop has recently switched to AMAX transmission on Bandera Road in Leon Valley and we have been extraordinary impressed with their honesty, speed and prices. Right now I'd take anything there.
