On Saturday night I noticed they were using spray cans of PAM during pit stops to lube those bumpers for that 2-car drafting deal they now have going on the super-speedways. jwmbishop Posted July 9, 2011 Report Share Posted July 9, 2011 back when we ran the y4 compounded Hurst tires we sprayed wd40 on the nose. Without it so much gooey rubber (and kitty liter and rosin) would get stuck to it we would gain 10 lbs. 2 feet in front of the spindle line thats a lot of leveraged weight where you don't want it!
