thumper
It was probably old story but yesterday I saw the open time trials at Bristol.Tony Stewart broke the standing record but then an offset winged modified rolled on and broke that record, being in the low 13 second times. But last came a sprint car and turned a 13.245 lap and I just got a new appreciation for sprint cars. They prooved to be the fastest type of car at Bristol Motor Speedway.I had my money on the winged offset modified. He was close however.13.245 on a 1/2 mile asphalt track.Amazing. A new bike record too, because he was the first. The stock Mustang was also impressive although is was not necessarly stock. But Jason Blonde in the sprint car said he never lifted on his second lap. That takes real grapefruits. neon14
G.B. I found it on youtube. Pretty cool stuff! That bike didn't have a chance at the record, but its cool that he tried. If you think about, if he crashed, HE would have hit the wall.

Budman
In part 1, it mentions the record was held by Sammy Swindell. I remember that well. That record was set on Dirt .................... yes, DIRT ..................... at Bristol. Your ---->
