txtom
Reported on Speed51: Darrell Brown, a former NASCAR driver from Dora, died Thursday in an industrial accident on his Adamsville business property. Brown, 66, owned Brown's Trucking Company and was killed when the front-end loader he was driving plunged into a gulley around noon. Brown was from Dora, Ala. and began racing cars in the 1960s. He raced for 40 years all over the southeast, including Daytona, Sayre Speedway and Birmingham International Raceway. He was the 1984 All Pro Super Series Champion and Southern All Stars winner. We saw Brown at several of the Texas All Pro races back in the 80's. Nice guy, a little rough driving style. Famous for creating cautions by throwing stuff out the right side window at the top of a turn......
