oil leaks in the gulf ..and leaking reactors....whats next ....

I can bet money that the people supposedly in charge of our country has learned absolutely nothing from these big disasters. I expect more to come and they may be closer to our own homes next time ! Man's worst enemy and mother nature's worst enemy is man !

Unfortunately they DID learn something - a misdirected aquescience from the masses that oil and other hydrocarbons are the "safest" fuel - as long as the drilling and recovery and inherant environmental dangers comes from another country. We will see nuke energy development ( and hydrogen as well) comes to a standstill with all the EXCESS red tape (not saying there is no need for better oversight - but the pols WILL take it too far).

the Oil meganopololy wins another round and the people will still pay more with less forward progress for alternatives...

If you look at a map of the Pacific, 3 of the 4 corners have had huge earthquakes in the last year, Peru, New Zealand , Japan . My bet is a big one hits the Pacific Northwest within a few months. If that happens, it will make Katrina look like a small storm. Hope my theory is wrong!
