HAWKEYE DIRT TOUR ADDS BVR TO 2011 SCHEDULE

March 10, 2011 | By: HDT-PR

(Alta, IA) - - JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour officials announced today that an agreement has been reached to add the Buena Vista Raceway to the 2011 HDT Schedule. The All Star's of the HDT will visit "The Beaver" on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

IMCA Modifieds will race for a $1,000 top prize and $150 to start the HDT A-Main. The event will also award IMCA National, Regional, and State points, and the IMCA Modified winner will be added to the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational Ballot for 2012. Support classes are yet to be determined.

"We're excited to have the Hawkeye Dirt Tour come to Alta," explained BVR promoter Jeff Herrig. "The fans and drivers will be looking forward to having some of the best IMCA drivers in the surrounding states compete at The Beaver."

Defending JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour champion Mike Jergens echoed that statement.

"This will be a good chance for the Western side of the state to see what the Hawkeye Dirt Tour is all about," explained Jergens. "I loved traveling to all the dates last year. I don't regret it a bit. We want to repeat, but it will be tough. Each night the tour brought together the best drivers the Hawkeye State has to offer. We'll see a few other states too at The Beaver"

More details will be posted soon to the tour's web site at www.DirtTour.com.

ABOUT THE HAWKEYE DIRT TOUR:

This tour is designed for the weekly racing world. From the raceday purse structure to how the event schedule is laid out, weekly racing was always kept in mind. The goal is to develop a summer-long party each year that everyone will want to be associated with. The group wants the drivers, track promotes, and the fans to drive away from each event dreaming of the next event.

Drivers will be allowed to compete at one (1) HDT race each calendar season without registration, but they will not be entitled to any contingency awards or HDT provisionals, for that event. They will only become eligible for year-end point funds & awards once they register for that year. HDT Registration fee for 2011 is $40. More details at www.DirtTour.com.
