rebelracewriter Posted March 2, 2011 Report Share Posted March 2, 2011 Kick-Off special starts new race season at Kennedale Kennedale, Texas (March 1, 2011) – Feature events are on the program both nights, for the four IMCA divisions running in Kennedale Speedway Park’s season-opening Spring Kick-Off special this Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6. IMCA Modifieds chase a top prize of $600 while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods race for $500 to win. First place in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock mains is $300. All applicable points will be awarded for each show. Both programs are also part of the Texas Lone Star Series. Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 4 for registration and practice. On Saturday, gates open at 4 p.m., the draw closes at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. On Sunday, pit gates open at 2 p.m., the draw closes at 3:30 p.m. and racing gets underway at 4 p.m. Pit passes are $25 and there is no charge for grandstand admission on Friday. Grandstand admission Saturday and Sunday is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-11 and free for kids five and under. IMCA 609 mufflers are required.
