The Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-27 special doubles as opening weekend in the new Texas Lone Star Series. Top prize for IMCA Modifieds each night is $500. Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods run for $400 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $300 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250. National, ButlerBuilt South Central Region or Stephenville Starter Southern Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be given all three nights. Probe Industries Northern Region points will be also awarded in the Stock Car division. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, pits open at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m. Church services at the track are at 10 a.m. Sunday. Pit gates open at 11 a.m., hot laps are at 11:30 a.m. and racing gets underway at 1 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. and an open practice runs from 6-10 p.m. for the Thursday, Feb. 24 practice session.
