Four IMCA divisions featured at Abilene Ice Breaker

 

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 22) – Four IMCA divisions highlight Ice Breaker action this weekend at Abilene Speedway.

 

The Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-27 special doubles as opening weekend in the new Texas Lone Star Series. Top prize for IMCA Modifieds each night is $500. Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods run for $400 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $300 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250.

 

National, ButlerBuilt South Central Region or Stephenville Starter Southern Region, Allstar Perfor­mance State and local track points will be given all three nights. Probe Industries Northern Region points will be also awarded in the Stock Car division.

 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. On Satur­day, pits open at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 7 p.m. Church serv­ices at the track are at 10 a.m. Sunday. Pit gates open at 11 a.m., hot laps are at 11:30 a.m. and racing gets under­way at 1 p.m.

 

Gates open at 5 p.m. and an open practice runs from 6-10 p.m. for the Thursday, Feb. 24 prac­tice session.
