$10,000 in bonuses possible for Saturday night champions at IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Feb. 17) – Loyalty to their local tracks during the regular point season could add as much as $10,000 to the purse for Saturday night champions at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.

The Modified champion will receive an additional $100 for each of as many as 50 starts made at sanctioned tracks leading up to Super Nationals, upping the potential payout for that class to $7,000.

Winner of the Stock Car main event earns an additional $50 per start, making that payout as much as $3,500. Both the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod champion and the Hobby Stock champion get an additional $25 per start to put their potential payoffs at $2,250 and $1,850, respectively.

“This is an incentive that will reward our most loyal and dedicated drivers at our biggest and most prestigious event,” said IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root. “These weekly racing series bonuses have the potential to push feature events to the season’s highest paying in three IMCA divisions.”

The 29th annual Super Nationals runs from Sept. 5-10 at Boone Speedway. All four Saturday champions will receive payouts ($2,000 for Modifieds, $1,000 for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods, and $600 for Hobby Stocks) before leaving the track.

Bonuses will be figured and those checks mailed from the IMCA home office in Vinton the following week.
