ASCS Sprints on Dirt Schedule is Released

Mike Strevel, TULSA, Okla. (February 12, 2011) – The 32nd season of exciting sprint car racing for the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP series will begin at Crystal Motor Speedway on April 30. An incredible variety of events are on the calendar at speedways in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario. A total of 23 races are currently on the schedule with one event to be announced and the very special three day Canadian Sprint Car Nationals among the much anticipated 2011 calendar.

Highlights for the 2011 season include the King of Michigan race September 9 at Hartford Motor Speedway, return visits to Ohio tracks; Limaland Motorsports Park and Eldora Speedway and the new Ontario Summer Sprint Series at Ohsweken Speedway and South Buxton Raceway. A total of thirteen different race tracks currently appear on the schedule.

Long time supporting tracks of the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP returning for 2011 include I-96 Speedway, Cherry Raceway, Owendale Speedway and the Winston Speedway. Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal MI hosts three events in 2011 and holds the honors of being the only track in the country to host an event every year in the 32 year history of the winged sprint series. I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan will host four events, the first being held May 14 on the ½ mile while the other three dates will be on the 3/8 mile oval. Two visits to Owendale and Winston will be popular stops and a second visit to Cherry Raceway is still under negotiation.

The popular appearance at the Ionia Free Fair Speedway will again occur on Friday July 22 and a new speedway hosting its first show is the Tri City Motor Speedway in Auburn, Michigan on August 26. The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP will again support the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Oshweken Speedway September 15-17. The schedule also allows teams the opportunity to participate in this year’s Knoxville 360 Nationals if they choose with no races being scheduled to conflict with this event in August.

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP series sanctions winged Sprint Car races at speedways throughout Michigan, Ohio and the Canadian province of Ontario and will enjoy its 32nd season of operation.
