Double D racing Posted February 4, 2011 Report Share Posted February 4, 2011 this is for a buddy of mine,he has a 2000 gmc truck, v-8 80000 miles on it,heater will not get hot.both heater hoses are hot going to and from firewall but no heat.could it be the thermostat switch on the dash??? MrX Posted February 4, 2011 Report Share Posted February 4, 2011 The first thing you need to Ck. is the heater core it may be pluged. Pull heater hoses off run air or water to if it flows. Need to know if it is auto air or manuel air. Auto air has a air temperature actuator you have to pull the dash to replace it. The manule has a cable by the gas pedal. hope this helps.
