FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – January 30, 2011 - The Park City, Kansas based National Championship Racing Association has released their 2011 schedule for their modified north division with nine races at four different venues for their 14th consecutive race season. The season lid lifter will take place on Saturday night, May 7th at the first of four scheduled events at the home track of the series, 81 Speedway in Park City. The race will be held in conjunction with the third annual “Showdown in the Heartland III” featuring the series’ late model division as they take on the MARS late model series. Then over Memorial Day weekend it will be a double header as on Saturday night, May 28th the tour makes their second appearance at 81 Speedway before making their first appearance since 1998 at “The Hummer,” Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas. A special Fathers Day edition takes place on Sunday night, June 19th as the tour joins forces with the series’ other two premiere divisions, late models and sprint cars, in a night that you want to make sure you bring dad along for an action packed night of NCRA racing. On this night, the modified division will compete for a special $2000 to win event. On Sunday night, July 3rd the tour will celebrate the Independence Day weekend at 81 Speedway before heading out to the famed Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas for the 55th annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals on Friday and Saturday night, July 15-16th with Saturday nights finale paying $3000 to win. Both nights will be complete point race shows. Labor Day weekend will see the annual trek up Hwy 81 to the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas for a Sunday night, September 4th spectacular as they once again join forces with the series late model and sprint car divisions. It is all scheduled climax on Saturday night, October 1st as they end their season at 81 Speedway. The 2011 race season will be the 41st consecutive year for the NCRA, which sanctions the sprint car, late model, modified, southern sport mod and new Great Plains regional late model divisions throughout the Great Plains.
