Reservations Now Accepted for 2010 NCRA Awards Banquet

 

 

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 18, 2011 – Midwest City, Oklahoma - Make plans now to attend the annual National Championship Racing Association banquet as the series honors all five of their division champions and the rest of the top ten on Saturday night, January 29, 2011 at the Cotillion Ballroom in Wichita, Kansas. All drivers MUST have appeared in 75% of the races in their competing division to be eligible for point fund and contingencies.

 

The cost is $25 per person and reservations must be made in advance to guarantee entrance. The deadline to make your reservations is Tuesday, January 25, 2011 and can be made by contacting Mylisa at the NCRA office (316) 755-1781. The cost will cover the dinner, award ceremony and dance. Doors will open at 4:00 PM with dinner to be served at 5:00 PM. The award ceremony will start at 6:00 PM with the dance slated from 9:00 PM until midnight.

 

The completed 2010 race season put a wraps on the 40th anniversary year for the Park City, Kansas based NCRA with four out of the five division champions earning their first ever series championship.

 

Jeremy Campbell of Wichita, his first year aboard the famed Danny and Naomi King #85 sprinter, picked his first car series sprint car championship while fellow Wichita resident Brian Powers, a regular on the modified north division since the inaugural season thirteen years ago, earned that divisions title. Mickey Lassiter of Piedmont, Oklahoma ran consistently to earn the modified south division championship while Todd Decker of Edmond, Oklahoma waited until the final event of the 2010 southern modified season to move to the front of the standings.

 

After settling for a runner up finish in 2009, Kelly Boen of Marquette, Nebraska got back on top of the final point standings to earn his fifth series late model championship in six years.

 

Formal and casual attire is accepted however, no t-shirts as we ask that you dress with class. And drivers please remember, your conduct will reflect your status for the 2011 race season.
