rebelracewriter
19 cars started the 50 lap main with Jason Ray, who set fast time of 15.33, and James Cole, sporting a new Swenson Chassis, on the front row. On the first try, Barry Codling spun in between turns 1-2, collecting Joey Hieneman, Newton Barta and Chris Snocker, with Jimmy Phillips getting tangled in traffic slowing for the caution. On the second start, Cole got the lead, while Ray and Chris Swenson battled for second. Ray and Swenson closed on Cole, with Chris Davidson and Jy. Hieneman scrapping for fourth. After a caution for debris, Ray drifted high and fell back to sixth, moving Swenson to second. In the meantime Codling had worked his way back up to eighth, after restarting at the tail. Just before halfway, Swenson was pressuring Cole for the lead, with a good four car fight for fifth between last years TAMS Champ, John Hieneman, Codling, Ray and Larry Smith. As the crossed flag were shown it was Cole, Swenson, Davidson, Jy. Hieneman and Jn. Hieneman in the top five. Cole began to inch away as Codling got by Jn. Hieneman for fifth. Lap 27 saw Davidson slow and fade from third place. With 20 to go, Cole and Swenson had built a full straightaway lead over Jy. Hieneman, who had Codling closing in. Ray's troubles continued as he slow and was lapped by the leaders. Cole's chance for the win went up in smoke when he blew on lap 42, with Swenson, Don Banker and Snocker spinning in the fluid. Swenson was given the point on the restart, but the yellow came out quickly when Barta tapped Smith, who spun and collected Ray, with Snocker slamming hard into Ray. Once back under green, Codling's charge back to the front came to an end, when he started smoking and was black flagged while running third. On the final restart, Swenson was pressured hard by Jy. Hieneman, who pushed Swenson down the straight. But as the checkers flew it was Swenson in the Gain/A+Cash/Synergyn/B&A Automotive/Spreen Racing Engines/Swenson Chassis taking the first win of this years series. NickHolt
JM, It is not a matter of doubting you. It is just a matter of posting the "official" results. Also, these results provide more information, like the car numbers and number of laps completed. Nick Holt
