DRIVER AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS ADDED TO TEXAS RACE WEEK ACTIVITIES

 

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (June 4, 2004) - Race fans will get the chance to meet some

of their favorite drivers from the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series and the

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series during the Bombardier 500k race week.

Two autograph sessions are now planned for Friday, June 3 prior to the O'Reilly

400k Truck Series race. The sessions are scheduled from 4-5 p.m. with the Truck

Series drivers and 6-7 p.m. with the IndyCar Series drivers. The events will

take place outside between gates 3 and 4 near the IRL Fan Experience.

The Bombardier 500k IRL IndyCar Series event is Saturday night, June 12 and the

O'Reilly 400k race is Friday night, June 11. KSCS Qualifying Night presented by

Firestone for both series is Thursday, June 10.

Tickets for the Bombardier 500 weekend are available at the speedway ticket

office, by calling (817) 215-8500, online at www.texasmotorspeedway.com

individual tickets or request a FAST PACK 4 that includes seats for both the

June and October truck and IndyCar races at a special package price.

NASCAR IS "HOT" - The May issue of Fort Worth, Texas magazine featured their

list of "What's Hot in Fort Worth" and NASCAR racing made the "hot" list.

"The timing of this is really ironic," said speedway president Eddie Gossage.

"With the recent announcement of our second NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series date for

2005, the inclusion in the Fort Worth 'hot' list is even more appropriate. It's

not only 'hot' in Fort Worth but the entire state of Texas. The

Samsung/RadioShack 500 draws - by far - the largest crowd for any sporting event

in this huge state. It's 'red hot.'"
