Brooklyn Raceway "The Figure Eight Capital of the World"

 

Finally the drizzle and rain stopped about 1:00, Saturday and let the track preparation get started around 3:30. The dirt work continued until hot laps began at 6:30. The track surface became one of the best of this year as 98 entries gave it a test. Drivers from four states were represented, and gave a very large crowd what they came to see, some of the fastest and closest racing of the season.

 

Only two more point races are left and the point championships are getting closer in every class. With the August Friday 13th race being a double point night the drivers will really be ready. This race is sponsored by Central Iowa Concrete of Brooklyn IA. Hot Laps start at 6:15 p.m. & racing at 7:00 p.m. Here are the results of the July 24 Extreme Dirt Racing Series races:
