Josh42
Just a question for Mary Ann, I noticed in some of the pics that Marc took in Houston that some of the drivers are not wearing gloves or neck braces. Is that a option or were these pictures just takin early in the event and the drivers were waiting to put these items on, and if it isnt a rule that they have to wear gloves or neck brace then why doesnt the TSRS institute the rule for the drivers safety. racerpete2
These pictures were taken just before qualifying and the drivers were not ready. Here is the first rule under the technical rules. 1) SAFETY EQUIPMENT a) Every driver is required to wear an approved driver's suit (fire suit), racing gloves, racing shoes, helmet and a neck collar at anytime they are on the track in the racecar, this includes practicing, testing, or competing in the race. (It is highly recommended that all drivers wear the Hutchins or Hans). Every driver is required to wear approved safety helmet with a minimum of a SNELL 95 or SA 2000 rating when on the track in the racecar; whether practicing, testing, or competing in the race.
