$1,000 to win Thursday shows next

for JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour

 

 

CRESCO, Iowa (June 21) – A pair of Thursday night shows are next on the JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour schedule.

 

 

IMCA Modifieds travel to Cresco Speedway on June 24 and to Lee County Speedway on July 1. The Cresco date is during the Mighty Howard County Fair while the Donnellson event is paired with IMCA’s Great American Stock Car Series on the Liberty Cup special program

 

 

Both feature races pay $1,000 to win and are qualifying events for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

 

 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. at Cresco. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow.

 

 

Grandstand admission is with purchase of a fair button or $12 for adults; kids 12 and under get in free. More information is available by calling 563 547-4996 and at the track website, www.mhcfair.com. The event is sponsored by Kwik Star of Cresco.

 

 

At Donnellson, pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

 

 

Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, $7 for students 11-17 and free for kids 10 and under. More information is available by calling 319 528-4301 or 319 835-5523 on race day The track website is www.leecountyspeedway.com.

 

 

Pit passes are $25 both nights.

Richie Gustin Jr. and Josh Foster each own a series win and are first and second, respectively, in the tour point standings.

 

The fifth of 10 dates in the inaugural series is now Tuesday, July 20 at Fayette County Speedway in West Union. That race was rained out and rescheduled from June 15.
