For Immediate Release HAWKEYE DIRT TOUR AT FAYETTE COUNTY RESCHEDULED TO JULY 20

By: Jeff Werderman [Cedar Falls, IA] - - JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour officials announced this morning a make up date for the recently rained out event at the Fayette County Speedway. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 has been set as the new race date. Several days of heavy rain leading up to the original June 15th race date forced officials to postpone the NAPA of West Union 30 to July 20th.

 

Joining the IMCA Modifieds of the JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour will again be Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks. Local track rules will apply for the Stocks and Hobbies. All times for the event remain the same. Pit gates open at 4:00 PM and grandstands at 5:00 PM. Hot laps start at 6:45 PM with the Specialty Technologies Heat Races to follow.

 

Up next for the HDT is a race on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Cresco Speedway during the Mighty Howard County Fair. The Kwik Star of Cresco 30 offers the winner $1,000 and they will be placed on the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational Ballot. Pit gates open at 4:00 PM. Pre-tech for the IMCA Modifieds begin at the same time. Hot laps hit the track at 6:45 PM with the Specialty Technologies Heat Races to follow.

 

The support classes for the event at Cresco will be B-Mods, Stock Cars, and Hobby Stocks. Local track rules apply for all support class that night. For more information, log onto www.mhcfair.com.
