rebelracewriter
Harris Auto Racing returns as title sponsor for Race of Champions at Super Nationals BOONE, Iowa (May 17) – The Harris Auto Racing title returns to the front of one of the premier IMCA Modified special events of the season. The local chassis manufacturer and high performance parts retailer again provides a portion of the point fund for the Race of Champions, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 11 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals at Boone Speedway. Qualifying for the 12-car, 12-lap $1,000 to win race will be open only to previous race winners and top drivers in local track standings who compete at the 28th annual Super Nationals. Like the Modified feature that evening, the Race of Champions is also a qualifying event for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Harris manufactures Modified and SportMod chassis, as well as the Terminator Stock Car and Hobby Stock chassis. Owner John Logue is a 10-time qualifier for the Race of Champions, winning the event in 2001. “This event continues to showcase the premier IMCA Modified drivers in the country with one of the most successful chassis builders in the history of the division as the title sponsor,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We appreciate the support Harris has shown to IMCA over the years and look forward to a long relationship with the Race of Champions."
