The Bombardier 500k Indy Racing League IndyCar Series event is Saturday night, June 12 and the O'Reilly 400k race is Friday night, June 11. 96.3 KSCS Qualifying Night for both series is Thursday, June 10. Teams from both series have been testing at the speedway in preparation for the events. From the IRL, Andretti Green Racing's Tony Kanaan, Panther Racing's Tomas Scheckter and the 2003 IRL IndyCar Series champ Scott Dixon of Target Chip Ganassi Racing are testing for Firestone today and tomorrow. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers Ted Musgrave and Andy Houston of Ultra Motorsports and Steve Park of Orleans Racing are slated to be on track Thursday and Friday. The night races at Texas are two of the most attended races for both series and fan favorites as well. "Racing under the lights here at Texas is great," said speedway president Eddie Gossage. "The drivers enjoy competing here and they never disappoint the fans." Fans can purchase individual tickets or request a FASTPACK-4 that includes seats for both the June and October truck and IndyCar races at a special package price.
