HOT Races Interrupted by Storm

 

ELM MOTT-Friday night's race program at the Heart O' Texas Speedway was interrupted when stormy weather arrived during the I.MC.A. modified feature race. All heats, B-mains and four of the feature races were completed before the rain began.

 

Duain Pritchett came from Combine to Victory Lane after battling a field 35 of I-stock drivers... Johnny Sheets from Gatesville landed the second place spot, and Jason Honey from Waco picked up third.

 

Veteran driver Sid Kiphen from Gatesville outraced just under forty SIMS/ULMA limited modified drivers to win the feature. Jeff Sexton from West earned second, and Shannon Dulock from Bellmead ran third.

 

In the cruiser main event, Chad Barber from Waco added a fourth winner's trophy to his collection this season. Michael George from Waco was second, and Linda Wills from Axtell took third.

 

Kevin Green from Robinson was at the top of the junior mini stock class. Mark Bullock from Sunnyvale went home with second, and Brandon Goodnight from Mart ran third.

 

I.M.C.A modifieds will resume their feature at a later date. The street stock, IMCA hobby stock, and pure stock features will also be rescheduled.
