HiTech Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 Does anybody know if a car dolly has to be registered and have license plates in the state of Texas? just had this conversation the other day ..i was looking to buy one ..and my buddy who ownes a car lot and uses one some times ..said no ... it doesnt even have to have lights ...he said a friiend got a ticket . and the judge threw it out .and told the officer ..there is no law on those .... . he must be right cuz a few people pull those home made ones all over town hauling junk cars to the crusher ..and some of those i would be afraid to load any thing on em ...the only thing he said is you have to have lights working when pulling something on em ..magnatic lights is what he uses now .they bounce so much .the lights on his just trash out ..hope this helps .
