NickHolt Posted January 23, 2010 Report Share Posted January 23, 2010 I was getting Google Maps directions to the HMP banquet in Houston and noticed this interesting track off Lauder Road, west of 59 and east of JFK Blvd. Seems mis-shaped for a horse track. Anyone have the scoop on it? That one is strange to me Nick. Not far from there is where North Houston Speedway was located, at the N/W Corner of Greens Rd @ Lee Rd, running E-W. It was about a quarter mile oval, or maybe D shaped. Somewhere there are some old film clips from the mid 50s featuring AJ Foyt, Billy Wade, Buddy Rackley and possibly MJ Burton, Don Burton, and Norman Peirce, among others, at North Houston Spdwy racing that era's Super Modifieds.
