Carol
I wanted everyone in the racing world know that Fred Furlow our father is not doing well. We have him resting at Kenny's with Hospice starting Monday. He was a Meyer Speedway legend winning many championships with Bill Blumrick and Ivan Cooper and several in between. Cars Number 11, 7 and 45 will never be forgotten. Keep him in your memories. His family, Kenny, our late brother Ronnie, Chrissie and Carol. dkerr
I'M SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAD . MY DAD TOOK ME OVER TO THE OLD PLUMBING SHOP A COUPLE OF TIMES AND I HAVE A PHOTO OF ME SITTING IN THE OLD # 45 MODIFIED (JUST CAN'T REMEMBER WHERE IT IS AT THE MOMENT. HE USED TO RUN AROUND WITH FRED AND BILL , ALSO REMEMBER GOING DOWN TO THE OLD HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL DRAG STRIP AND WATCHING YOUR DAD WITH THE OLD BLACK AND WHITE CHEVY TRUCK . ALWAYS COULD TELL IT WAS FRED FROM THE BACK ALL YOU WOULD SEE WAS THE TACK AND A BIG GLOW OF THE CIGAR WHEN IT WOULD LAUNCH OFF OF THE LINE. HE WILL BE MISSED , I DON'T KNOW IF MY DAD KNOWS ABOUT YOUR DAD'S CONDITION YET , I'LL LET HIM KNOW AS SOON AS I GET OFF OF HERE. I'V ASKED DAD IF HE TALKES WITH BEVERLY ANYTIME SOON TO TRY TO GET SOME PHOTO'S OF THEM AND I'LL TRY TO GET THEM POSTED SO EVERYBODY CAN SHARE THE GOOD OLD TIMES. BEST WISHES DANNY KERR
