Its really cool to go to the races knowing your fellow racers are sincere about friendship and respect. It shows in our group. Look around in the pits. Hand shakin, hoods up with others crew under them, mostly smiles and humor.

Thank you guys for your contributions to us for the championship.

OT after the experience we had in the loss of the championship last year there was no way I could be happy with myself if I went in there bonzai and did something stupid agian.

Acutally I wasnt even sure if we were going to finish the race. The last 6 laps were the longest of all season.

During the restart at lap 28 with 3 minutes left, accelleration to the line out of four a huge vibration developed and worstened with each lap. Sergio had already picked off the cars seperating us and I knew he was coming and could of overtaken me.

I knew it was over for me agian.

Somehow the car held together to the checkered.

We figure the weld in the differential let go. The car may not of made another lap. Multiple prayers were answered during that race!

Thanks to dad for building a super car and finding more to make it faster. He is the one who won the championship.

Thanks TPS and Thunderhill for being first class!

Mike Merrell

I FIGURED YOU WERE HOLDING BACK ..THINK BACK TO CC ..YOU GUYS HAD THE WORST LUCK AND STILL FINISHED THE RACE .DOING WHAT YOU DID LAST NIGHT .... IT SHOWS A GOOD TEAM AND JUST A LITTLE BIT IF LUCK CAN HOLD OFF AND WIN IT BY ONE POINT ....YOU KNOW I AM A FORD MAN ..I WANTED A FORD TO WIN IT ..BUT YOU KNOW I LIKE YOU .ALL THE DRIVERS LIKE YOU .THAT MAKES IT ALRIGHT WITH ME A VW WON IT THIS YEAR ... NOT NEXT YEAR THOUGH ..
